Vinícius Albernaz Lacerda

Senior power systems engineer

Vinícius Albernaz Lacerda received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 2015 and 2021, respectively. From 2018 to 2019 he was a Visiting Researcher with the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. He joined the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (CITCEA-UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2021 and he is currently a Lecturer at CITCEA-UPC. He is currently participating in CIGRE Working groups B4/C4.97 related with EMT simulation of modern power grids with converters. He is currently a Senior Power Systems Engineer at eRoots Analytics, focusing on EMT and phasor simulation of modern power grids and control and design of grid-forming converters.
